    Hi All,

I’ve been looking at a video about pose morphing that demonstrates the creation of facial expressions. How is it possible to model a head with such detail with so few polygons? The attached SSs shows polygons with curved edges, which I didn’t realise was possible. There’s no indication of the software used. Is the video showing some sort of control grid?

I’d dearly like to set pose morphs with the ease shown in the video, which I’ve linked here…

Is this possible in C4D? Any ideas?

    Cheers

    Hi Brittnell,

I have used sub-division surface for very simple shapes but modelling a head is something else. I’ve downloaded the PDF and I’ll need to watch a few YouTube videos.

    Cheers

Remember. nurbs don’t actually render – its just so you can model with curves – those aren’t actual polys being shown there, but when the render engine kicks in it subdivides the curvy shapes in to triangles or quads so that in the end you are rendering with polys even though you started with curvy nurbs.

    Hi Steve,

Thank you Steve, I continue along my learning curve.
