Lens Flare Issue
Hello,
I went through this tutorial: https://www.graymachine.com/tutorials/lensflare.html
It shows how to create a really awesome looking lens flare. Though it has you apply all effects to a solid layer. In the end I can’t seem to put it on top of other video effectively. I want to be able to put this on top of any image and still have control over it. Can anyone help?

Try placing the composition above your footage and changing the blend mode to ‘Screen’ or ‘Add.’

I tried that. It doesn’t look right – it changes the color of the comp that I’m trying to apply to. Is there a way to make the solid transparent? Of course I can bring down the opacity but that means I loose the effect as well. I want the effect to be on a transparent layer. Tried null – that doesn’t work either.

Alright, try this then:
1) Apply the Channel > Set Matte effect to the flare composition and change the “Use For Matte” property to “Luminance”
2) Change the flare composition’s blend mode to “Luminescent Premultiply.”
