March 9, 2018 at 7:06 pmwhat version of C4D?
What Shadow Catcher? the built in shader or the old plug-in?
Compositing in C4D or AE (or something like it)?
Can you post the scene file ? -

March 9, 2018 at 9:58 pmHello Brian, Thanks for the response.
The version is R18.
As shadow catcher I am using is a plane object with colour only texture apply to it (white).
For compositing in AE I am using L Matte for plane object and Shadow image layer above.
I am using straight alpha in c4d and AE. I have tried physical and standard renders.file:

March 9, 2018 at 10:09 pmBrian, I forgot to mention that I have changed colour of the shadow catcher material colour from white to black.
Well…. now it’s black outline. Looks better for this scene but it’s not a solution. 🙁 -

March 10, 2018 at 12:55 amthe Shadow Catcher shader is an Advanced Render thing (well, you can use it with Physical but the alpha channel colours seem backward) it’s in the help here – Reference/Cinema 4D/Cinema 4D Visualize, Broadcast, Studio/Advanced Render/Shadow Catcher
If you turn on Include Lighting in the Shadow Catcher tab it should look better with your scene with multiple lights.
