  Florescent light flicker: Help!

  Help! I have some footage shot with 60i DVCAM in SIngapore and there is a 50hz flicker in the pictures from the florescent tubes in the background. I did not see it when it was shot. What can I do to fix it? Color stablizer possibly or ? Any suggestios for settings? In desperate shape to fix this problem. Scott

  If the flicker is only in the background, then use a mask feather after you have removed flicker.

  There’s other ones like donald graft, tinderbox’s flicker remover, google deflicker might find some more.

  We see this issue about three times a year. There are many different approaches. Which you use depends on yor need for quality and your expertise in AE. Easier and cheaper to have someone reshoot it, though.

  I use the color Stabilizer filter in AE. I have brought 30fps material into a 90fps comp to make every frame last for three frames. This allows you to do some tweaking to the filter.
  You might then take this rendered output, speed it up 3x, and lay it over your original using any of several blend modes.
