Hello everyone, first off I would like to say that I am not very good with Cinema 4D at all so please simplify any weird words you may tell me :).

So I am having problems with editing text, I have downloaded an intro template and it looks like this:

I open up the ‘Name’ file and it looks like this:

So I want to edit the text but I can’t seem to figure out how… I have searched up numerous times: “How to edit Fracture Object Cinema4D”, etc. but it doesn’t show how to edit it so I was wondering if any of you could help me figure out how to edit these templates.

Here is a link for one of the templates if you would like to have it: https://www.mediafire.com/file/b66pnmunxetziji/%23Template+23+By+Egzon+Malor.zip

    Thank you for reading.

Click on the + symbol next to the Extrude object to expand its hierarchy. Click on the Text Object to select it.

In the Attributes menu select the text in the “Text” window and change it. Repeat for each letter.

I don’t know how you did that but when I open the text it appears with this:

When I open the extrude even further it appears with this:

The example project in the link you provided used MoText objects for the letters. Since your original images did not have the Extrude objects expanded I assumed that they just used Text objects. However, looking at your new images I see that the letters used Spline objects for the extrudes, which means you will need to replace them with either your own drawn splines, splines converted from Illustrator files, or with some other spline objects. Since your project is creating text, Text objects would be the quickest and easiest to use. But, not having seen the project itself, only you could decide if that would be satisfactory. Also, like the example from the link, each letter is using two versions (or copies) of a spline object to create the text, so you will need to replace them both in order to edit the text.

If the above doesn’t help, I would need to see the project file to offer more assistance.
