I have an object within a cloner. I added a random effector and set it to affect the position and rotation. These object are rigid bodies and are set to fall upon starting the animation.

I would like to keyframe OR have the rotation change over time automatically. I try to keyframe, and it doesn’t work. I see the values change but the objects don’t move from their respective falls.

What am I doing wrong? or how should I be doing this?

If you go to the dynamics tag’s Force tab and increase the “follow rotation” setting, you’ll be able to influence the rotation of the dynamic objects with effectors. There’s no way to keyframe dynamic objects unless they’re just collider objects.

Hmm, didn’t seem to work. Here’s the project file, what seems to be the problem?

didn’t seem to do the trick, I know I’m doing something wrong. Here’s the file if you don’t mind taking a look at it.

You need to set the random effector so the objects change rotation over time. One thing you could do is go to the effector tab and change the mode from random to noise. Then adjust the scale and animation speed (and rotation parameters in the parameters tab). Or you could animate the rotation settings in the parameters tab.
