I imported a model from Maya into Cinema 4D so that I could use the cloner effector, however, it seems like it works best on primitive objects that are already built into Cinema, like spheres, and cubes. I am trying to achieve the effect in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZDUuaDxcpg. There is also a picture of the effect below. I tried pasting my object into the object mode tab however when I do so, the clones go crazy and I don’t know how to get them back to normal. There is a picture of this below as well. Does anyone know how I would achieve the effect in the video?

The Object mode is used when you want the clones to be distributed in the shape of an object. When you placed your model in the Object window of the Object mode the cloner distributed the cubes in the shape of your model. In order to clone an object make it a child of the Cloner and then select the mode desired. In that tutorial he is using the “Radial” mode. To clone your model instead of a cube, place the model as a child of the Cloner.
