  • Attaching mesh points to nulls (with soft selection)

    Greetings!

I’m trying to simulate a “stretch” option for a product and I noticed that soft selection / point level animation doesn’t have ease on keyframes. So I used xpresso to attached a point to a null for better control. However, the null only grabs one point.

Is there a way to attach a null with soft selection to a single point? (like this)

    Thanks all!

My suggestion would be to use a Character>Cluster object which is really designed for this purpose.

I should add that you CAN use ease-in/out with PLA by assigning a time track to the PLA track and adjusting the time track’s fcurve.

What’s hilarious is I did the exact same time-remapping in AE by rendering out 4 times as many frames. This is a big help!!
