    Hi,

New to the site, although Ive looked through it for awhile.

Im wondering if theres a way to go back and edit your mesh, without deleting the sculpting tag. I made a mesh, and after going in to the sculpting room, realized I needed to go back and weld a couple of points when they separated after running the smooth tool over the subdivided mesh. The only way I could get it to work was to delete the sculpting tag, then weld the points, and start over in the sculpting room.

Ive tried creating a second object, and moving the tag to it to fix the mesh, but that doesnt work. Am I missing something, or is this how cinema is designed to work?

Thanks for any help anyone can give!

The way to do this is to use the Sculpt>Project function. You’d extract a level(0) copy of the sculpt object, fix the geometry, and then run the Project function which will transfer the original sculpting information.
