  Creating hair with square tip

  Working on a few macro shots of synthetic turf and I cannot figure out a way to create square tips. The default hair uses a rounded tip. Tried using the thickness curve editor to make a sudden drop to zero, only to find it creates more of a triangle. Just do a google image search for “turf closeup” and you’ll see what I’m trying to achieve. Thanks in advance.

  Looks like the only way to do it is to generate geometry (Hair Object>Generate).

  Yes I believe you’re right. I had to make my own individual blade and use it as an instance. Slows things down a bit, which is what I was afraid of, but it looks great! Thanks for the reply.
