    hi all,

first post on here – so be gentle with me!!

what i am trying to do is as follows – i have an illustrator doc of a spiderweb pattern/image – i want to add it to an existing .c4d file, and rather than it be a flat material i want the lines to create a 3d pattern that wraps around the object…

i am not even sure of the terminology to search on google – but the shapes i want to apply the .ai contents to can be either an extrude nerbs object or a motet object…

not sure if that isn’t too vague – but basically the main is to wrap the spiderweb around the object and give it a 3d (bump map?) effect…

any starting point will be a help – as i don’t really know what the best way of doing would be :-/

    thanks in advance

not clear but I think you want:
    – the spiderweb wrapped around something – if so, what? the complexity of the object makes a difference
    – the spiderweb isn’t a flat extrude but has ’round threads’

    yes, or something different?
