  PNG Errors in After Effects

  I’m primarily a 2D animator in After Effects, doing mostly explainer video type stuff. But every now and again I’ll dust off C4D and say something along the lines of “oh, if I did that in 3D it would be so cool!” It kinda never fails that it always bites me in the ass.

  

  Anyway here’s the real question, I get all kinds of PNG errors when I’m compositing in After Effects. On the current project I’ve been going back through frame by frame looking for the PNG error. Why do my renders always do that? I like PNG’s for the file size esp. on 3-5 min explainers, but they do this every time. Second part, if not PNG sequence then what’s the next smallest and fastest that’s safe.

  Background info: Win 7, Team Render, R16 Broadcast, Machine Local: Boxx Technologies i7 2600K overclocked 32 GB RAM RenderNode: Self-Built, AMD FX 8350, 16GB RAM.
