Hi. I apologize for the basic question, but its keeping me from progressing on a project I have.

I’m trying to get an IK chain to bend a certain way so I thought I’d set up a Pole Vector using a Null below the chain to influence it. But when I try to drag the Null into the ‘Object’ line to make the pole vector the ‘object’ option is grayed out.

I don’t know how to change this simple, annoying issue.

I’m used to maya so I’m sure this is really basic, sorry.

Do you per chance have the IK method set to 3D?

I tried switching it from 2D to 3D and back again with no change, but I managed to set an object as the pole vector by creating an IK tag for my joint and manually setting a goal instead of selecting all the joints and creating an IK chain.

    Thanks for your help though.
A lot of your answers in these threads have helped me in the past

    Cheers

Glad you worked it out. The only way I could recreate your problem was to set the IK method to 3D, so I’m not sure what happened.
