Scale texture detail to preserve memory?
Is it possible to scale texture resolution to preserve memory? I have a sphere textured with 32 21600×21600 textures, tiled to make a complete surface – but obviously trying to render this is a problem!
As I don’t need all the detail all the time, is there a way to get C4D to intelligently use different quality textures to enable the highest quality possible whilst not destroying the 32GB of RAM on my computer?!
