    Good Day,
I hope I can make this understandable enough for someone to help out.

I have a 2d image that I have preformed a live trace on in Adobe Illustrator. I have saved it and opened the file in Cinema 4d. When it opens any color information that was there is gone leaving only the wireframe to look at.

I am taking the paths of my image and combining them by selecting them all then right clicking and selecting connect+delete. Then I am preforming an Extrude Nurbs while holding alt+command.

To this point everything looks ok, however, when I try to add materials (just using simple colors) it will not allow me to add them to the image/object. The cursor is the red circle with the slash across it.
I have tried to add the materials prior to extruding also with the same results.

What am I missing? Please Help. Thank You.

convert it to a polygon object if you don’t need to animate it and check your normals

I would like to have the camera pass by it, but I am not looking to animate it, itself. Will having a camera movement cause a problem?
