Using the Cineware plugin for the first time. I’ve watched a bunch of Lynda.com tutorials to get this set up correctly, but: The image in AE is much darker than the linked scene in C4D and the video output from AE via my AJA ioXT is so dark, it’s almost a silhouette.

Are you using gouraud shading in your Cinema viewport, or quick shading? The latter has its own lights that don’t actually render, so it won’t give you an accurate render preview.

    I’m using gouraud.

Wish I could help you but I’m so far resisting Adobe’s subscription service so I don’t have access to Cineware. I guess something else that might account for the difference is if you’ve got your project set to 2.2 gamma in Cinema and linear in AE….

Thanks, Adam. I’ve got everything set to linear in both apps. The Lynda.com tutorials took me through that process.

It’s a texture issue. I think. I had same probs and replaced textures and it’s fixed….
