is it possible to parent the position of a polygon selection to a null object? I’ve tried the poly node in expresso, and didn’t get anywhere with that.

What are you trying to do? Move the null along with the polygons, or move the polygons with the null? Or something else?

I wanted to move the polygons with the null, but Someone on the C4d Cafe gave me the answer. You just place a cluster object inside the mesh, use a vertex map for the selected vertices, load that map into the cluster object, and then designate the null as the cluster objects target… in case anyone else is wondering.

    Thanks though.

Yep, that’s what I was going to suggest. Or you could use a joint weighted to the vertices in question.
