  • Metal texture to follow circle?

I’m trying to create a brushed metal where the “brushed” part follows the circle of the metal.

    Example:

And likewise, the brushed part of the metal in that star in the middle.

So far I can only get the material to go from side to side…I can’t get it to have the “spun” look.

    Any ideas?

In the Preset Folder / Prime / Materials / Misc…
    Try the Anisotropic Radial 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 Materials…
If necessary, customize their settings in the Attributes Manager…

The main way to do anisotropy in Cinema is via the Effects>Lumas shader. Add it to the color and/or luminance channel and go to the shader’s anisotropy tab. Enable it and then set the method to radial autoplanar or radial planar. In the latter case you may need to adjust the UV settings in the material’s texture tag (set to flat and rotate/scale to fit object).
