I have all kinds of animated objects in a scene. On the objects are extrude nurbs placed, from splines out of illustrator.

I want to have the same animated sequence, but with different splines merged. Is there a posibility to just replace the spline files ?
So it will have the same keyframes and position etc. ?

Sure, no problem as long as the splines themselves aren’t animated.

Well, ok. Nice that it is possible.
But ofcourse my question is How to do it.
    I mean replace.
I don’t mean, delete the original and place a new one.

Like you can replace a source file in After effects for example, so it takes over all properties.

    No knowledge is a Statement

Ah, of course that’s your question! I foolishly assumed that the question you actually asked was your question. 🙂

In this case simply dropping in a new one and deleting the old one is probably the quickest way to go about it. You could use an xref object to reference a Cinema file containing your spline, and then change the reference to another file containing a different spline, but that involves more steps than simply importing and replacing.
