I’m working in Cinema 12. Is there a way to take an object’s animation path and turn it into a spline? I have a camera that I’ve animated in a flyover on a globe, and now I want to make a spline to align another object to, so the camera will follow it. I didn’t animate the camera on a spline, just using keyframes. So I want to take the camera’s path and make a spline out of it. The help file doesn’t seem to have this in it (at least I can’t find it there) and I can’t find a command to do this. Seems to me that there was a command to do this in a previous version of Cinema, but I can’t find it now.

    thanks,
    Jack

This is under the Functions menu in the Timeline panel on r13. Hopefully that helps you find it in r12 🙂

Excellent, thank you, Darby. It’s there in 12 also. Hopefully this will help.

If you have MoGraph you can also use the Tracer object.

Thanks, Adam. I do have MoGraph and I hadn’t thought of that. That’s a good suggestion. It’s good to have more than one way to do things.
