I am having an interesting issue.

I rendered a .PNG sequence from one of Digital Juice’s JumpBacks using their Juicer 3.

I bring the image sequence into After Effects and render as a QuickTime.mov, Animation compression.

I do the exact same thing with settings as close as I can get them for Premiere, render to QuickTime.mov, Animation Compression.

Both files look the same visually. On my system they both play back the same from first frame to last. Same size files from each program, to me they look exactly the same.

Now I import the two clips into a Thompson/Grass Valley Turbo iDDR playback system.

The Premiere clip loops, plays smooth from any point, no problems.

The AE rendered clip glitches everytime it loops. Also, if we stop the playback at any point and roll from there it also glitches.

So AE and Premiere must be doing something different in their renderings…
Also, if I run the AE output file through Premiere before taking it to the Turbo playback deck the clip runs just fine.

How can I pull apart the rendered video files so I can see why they are different?

When Vista first came out there was posts here, and all over, about Vista creating improper, or non-conformed information in the video files, and I saw examples of the differences. What tools do I need to analyze these videos myself?

What’s my method for trying to determine why AE and Premiere are rendering the same settings different??

    Thanks!

This might have been better posted in the Media Formats Media Capacities forum I just discovered…
