  audio synching, sound keys, render issues

  I am wrapping up a music video which makes heavy use of Trapcode Soundkeys with video very closely synchronized with audio. When I RAM preview everything is beautiful— all video is perfectly in time with audio– However, when I render this composition to Quicktime DV there is a slight difference– very slight— to timing of RAM preview–

  I have considered that comp frame rate could be the issue as the original comp was in 30fps

  rendering at either 29.97 fps or 30 fps makes no difference however– the synch issue still exists…

  Any ideas from the experts?

  Yep, that did it—
  no shift in timing and once converted to DV, timing is still good…

  Would it be safe to say then that, as a general rule, when timing is critical, render as Animation and then convert to another format?

  Main issue here is obviously the animation output is close to 6GB in this case for a 5 min video.

  any ideas why this shift happens in the first place? I have noticed a few other posts with similar issues using quicktime…
