  Cinema 4d Demo out of memory errors

  Hey, any quick fixes for out of memory errors?

  I have 16gb of ram, and when I get the out of memory error from windows, the task manager only shows 4gb being used by Cinema and 8gb free.

  Does cinema 4d have an invisible process, or does it use 100’s of gbs of HD caching? Or something similar?

  Demo problem?

  what OS and is it 64 bit? And yes lots of caching can and is going on depending on scene set up.

  It is 64bit, and studio r12.

  I’ve got a 2600k with 16gb ram plus a 128gb ssd which currently has 33gb free.

  I have 2 other hds with 3 tb free also.

  Is there a way I could check what resources are free? Windows gives me a popup saying out of memory but the task manager says only 30% being used.

  Howdy,

  You might be running the 32bit version of Cinema 4D. There should be 2 executables:
  Cinema 4D.exe (32bit)
  Cinema 4D 64 Bit.exe (64bit)

  No, it is definitely the 64.

  I’m going to download the r13 demo to see if it fixes it.

  Otherwise I guess it’s back to lightwave.

  I was just interested in the after effects output of cinema 4d.
