    Theres an old animation that came on a CD for Mac’s in the mid 1990’s. I was playing around with trying to re-create it. There is a part at 42 – 48 seconds into the animation, where there is a sort of fluid or mud-like effect which hides the transformation of these pillars to a sort of structure.

    Can anyone offer any suggestion on how to do something like that in C4D?

    it looks like a sphere with something like a Taper or Bulge deformer with an animated noise in the Displacment in the material for the larger bumps and some Bump on it as well
