A few days ago I downloaded Michael Szalapski’s “Dice” animation from the following thread:
    https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/19/873719#873719

From that file I created my own with Dice modeled with numbers and such.
I rendered the animation and the dice end up landing with 2 and 6 facing upwards. However, when running the dynamic simulation on a different computer, the dice end up landing and rolling differently.

It is the same C4D file, why would it be different on a different computer running the same version of C4D?

Because the way the physics are calculated is relative to the processor’s cycles.

that’s always been true for any of the simulations. Different processors have slight differences in the implementation of the floating point unit etc which result in slight differences in the render. This is true for particles as well and is the reason they suggest if you are using NET to have all the processors be the same.
