    hi, i’m slowly teaching myself C4D and i’m having a few problems trying to create a section of a sphere, like an orange slice. i’m using this piece for reference:

    i’ve tried the GSG tutorial with an arc and lathe nurb but i can’t get it to work… if anyone can give me some tips on how to model an ‘orange section’, or point me to a tutorial that would be great. many thanks in advance!

    Lathe nurbs is the most flexible way to do it:

    Create an arc spline and set the end angle to 180;

    With the arc selected, in the attributes manager and select the “Coord.” tab;

    Type 90 in the R.B (rotation>bank) box;

    Create a lathe nurb object and drag the arc spline onto it in the attributes manager. That makes the arc a child of the lathe nurbs and it should already give you a sphere section;

    With the lathe nurbs object selected, adjust its Angle parameter in the attributes manager to change the size of the sphere section.
