    Evening,

I cant seem to get depth of field effect into Photoshop, I use multi-pass and all the channels come in just fine. All my compositing tags work just fine; mainly object buffers. The single or flat image has depth of field, and looks great. However the multi-pass image does not show depth of field…its hard to edit specifics without the main purpose of doing the image to begin with; depth of field!

    Any ideas…?

DOF is a post effect that’s applied after everything else, so it’s not something you can export directly. What you can do is export your depth pass and then use that in conjunction with PS’s lens blur filter (or a plugin like Frischluft’s Lenscare).

Thank you, wish it was a separate effect layer…would make thinks flow a bit quicker.

If it’s set up for the camera and the DOF post effect is on and Depth is checked in the multipass, it shows up as a Channel in PS.

It’s just not possible to separate it out that way because the affect is only applied after all of the layers are combined.
