    Hi,

I’m working on an island scene and I’m wondering if it’s possible to use a MoGraph Cloner Object to clone an object to the vector map of a plain. just thinking it would make my life so much easier.

    Thanks

I’m not sure what you mean by “the vector map of a plane”.

    Oops. I meant ‘Vertex’.

It’s possible, but a bit convoluted. Basically you want to use the vertex map shading to control scale or visibility of clones via the Shader effector. There is a vertex map shader but it doesn’t seem to work when applied directly, so you would have to bake the vertex map shader (Render>Bake Texture) and then apply the resulting bitmap in the shader effector.

Thanks. I’ll give that a go and let you know how it goes =]
