    Hi guys,

I’m expirimenting with spline masks and I want to create a text with an orange color on the inside of the text.
So when you extrude the text/spline you would see the inside color.

    My question is:

Is it possible to create something like this?
(only the first scene, the orange color inside)

Please answer my question and help me and you’re a life saver 😛

    Hi,

Thanks for your answer, i can’t get the result that i want, is there a way to spline mask a text and maybe duplicate the text and make it a bit smaller and than it looks like the inside of the letter???

I can’t get the result yet, but i think it is possible, I mean you can add colors to editable polygons but can i add colors without making it editable?

    Greetz,
    Fabian

For texturing parametric objects like extrude and sweep and all the primitives you just type in the selection place: C1 for cap one, C2 for cap two, R1 for the the rounding, R2 …. I think this is in the user manual for sweep nurbs.

For the example you showed I would jest set up multiple Sweep Nurbs and animate them using different cap settings to kinda extrude showing the next sweep. Hope that makes sense.

    Hi Randy,

thanks for your comment, i hope your tip will work.
I’ve asked the maker of the animation (Esteban) to give some tips and he explaned what he did.

He talked about the boolean effect that he put the spline into a boolean with the text that you want to put an inside color on it (i dont know if this is correct english but i hope you understand what i mean).

    greetz,
    Fabian
