    Hello!
I’m trying to make a tiled floor with hexagons, and figured I’ll use a disc, with 6 rotation segments and multiply that with a MoGraph cloner object. That makes a grid, but in order to align them in an even pattern, like a football – but flat, every other piece has to be moved down half the height to fit in. I tried with the Formula effector setting the speed to 0, but I have no clue how to sort out a formula so it lines up.
Does anyone have any idea on how to best do this?

    Many thanks!

one way would be to use two tiles offset, make one the child of the other and then toss in the cloner like this

…..I guess it’s typical beginner’s pitfall to complicate things!!
A simple and elegant solution. I hope I’ve learnt something from this. Thanks a lot!!

(Yet, I’ll try to offset something with the formula effector, just for the heck of it..)
