  • Applying a texture to a structure??

Posted by Andrew Levins on February 25, 2010 at 1:45 am

Alright… So I’m pretty new to Cinema 4D, but so far so good – except that I can’t seem to apply this texture of mine in the correct proportions! Whenever I apply it, it goes onto the structure as thousands of teeny tiny little “tiles” of what the texture is. I’ve messed around with the textures tag, and got the texture to the correct size, and even got it to show up on the object, but when I clicked on the object, the texture reverted back to the small tiles.

Sorry if I sound like a complete newbie, I’m just totally lost! Thanks in advance!

Have you changed the Texture Tag’s Projection setting? (you might want to check out the Help’s Texture Tag: Tag Properties section, it has some good pictures of the projection settings and what they do)

I changed the projection settings to cubic (or something close to that) and the design looked good on the object, but it wouldn’t stay when I clicked out of it! I’ll check out that Texture Tag section though. It sounds like what I’m looking for… Thanks!
