  • Light shining through boole object

    Hi,
I am both a newbie to the forum and a newbie to Cinema 4D so please bear with me, and thanks in advance for any help…
I have a boole object which is a cube with extruded text “cut” all the way through it. I want to shine light through the object so that the visible projected light is stenciled off by the hole that the extruded text has made (think the reverse of the Batman projection). At the moment, the visible light just shines through in a basic cone shape…
    Please help!

I did try that, but I can’t see any light when I do a ‘render view’…something to do with my render settings? (they’re just on default), plug-ins, etc?

I’ve figured it out. The problem was I hadn’t made the block or the extruded text within the Boole object editable. Thanks.
