  Illustrator to Cinema workflows?

  I am a complete beginner with Cinema4d, and after importing a rather complex .ai file to create extrusions, I have a question. (actually many questions)

  Can anyone direct me to any tutorials showing how best to arrange my layers etc within Illustrator, in order to make life easier in Cinema.

  Do layer names translate across to Cinema?
  Can i import multiple layers and then work on them separately within cinema?

  How do strokes affect the spline? I ask because the file within cinema looks more complex than it does it Illustrator. The original has some splines with rather heavy strokes
