    Hey,

    I am a bit new to Cinema 4D, so don’t bash on me toooo soon! X)
    I need to separate the Letters after creating a text and applying the Extrude tool. So I can animate each letter individually.
    What is quicks and safest way to do so?

    Thanks!

    If you have Mograph, you could use the per character option when using Mograph text.

    Yeah but it doesn’t give me enough freedom.

    SO is their a simple way to separate the letters?

    Yes, it’s pretty easy.

    * Select the extrude object and run the “make editable” command. That will result in three objects (sides and two caps);

    * Select all three and run the “connect” command. That will combine the three objects into one object;

    * Run the Functions>Optimize command. That welds the caps to the sides; and finally

    * Run the Functions>Explode Segments command. That will give you your separate letter objects.

    Wow! Easy it might be, but what a workflow.
    You would think no days of age it you be a simple click. lol

    Sounds worse than it is. ;D

    If you use teh MoGraph text object and make it editable it will give you separate extrude nurbs for each letter directly.
