I’ve rendered large images using Tiled Camera before, but I now need to create an image for an airport window cling that’s 559.75 in x 82.5 in at 50 ppi.

It looks like Cinema is topping out at 16000 pixels. This image needs to be 27,988 pixels wide. I thought Tiled Camera could handle it, but it looks like Cinema first decides the image will be clipped, and then renders out the 4 tiles of the already clipped image. In the render settings under resolution there is a warning that “Resolution Clipping Applies!” I’m at a loss for solutions

    Can it be done?

I found a hacky solution for those that run into this issue. You can make a tiled camera referencing your main camera and just create a new camera using each of the 4 positions of the tiled cam. Render using those cameras and stitch later. Not incredibly pretty, but it works.

But if you tile (Using the Tiled cam) 4×4
then you should make your output half size.
(Width /2 and Height/2) or you will end up
with 4 renders -each- 27988 pixels wide.

    Cheers

Ah, good point. I, like so many others on creative cow, must conclude that I am an idiot. Thanks for humoring.
