October 23, 2009 at 11:03 amwhat version of C4D are you using? This has been a serious issue before r11. There are solutions but generally require huge render times.

October 23, 2009 at 12:26 pmits v10 but i have access to another system which has v11 but i would rather keep it on my system if i could, i know it will take a while to render i will leave it over the weekend if i could get it to work.
would changing global illumination to camera animation make any difference?

October 23, 2009 at 3:44 pmDo you have animated objects in the scene, or just an animated camera? If it’s just the camera you should select “camera animation” from the drop down box at the top of the GI dialogue.
In any case, it’s hard to eliminate flicker. Stochastic mode will eliminate it altogether, but it can be grainy and/or painfully slow.
If you don’t use stochastic you have to crank up the quality and min/max settings which again makes it pretty slow.
