  Rendering Size Question

  First off, I’m sure this has been discussed ad nauseum on these forums and I apologize as I wasn’t even sure what to search for. I have an animation I’m finishing and the largest size it will be presented will be a 42″ plasma. I’m running short on time to get it rendered and was wondering what the smallest size is I can render this animation and still look good on a 42″ plasma? In the past I’ve rendered at 1920 x 1080 but I’d like to get away with a smaller size if possible. Thanks in advance!

  Hi Troyan –

  I usually use the NTSC D1 Widescreen Sqare Pixel preset. It’s under the Film/Video section in the presets in the render settings Output tab. Should be 864 x 486.

  Of course Adobe has decided that that aspect is now different. Something like 872 x 486.

  In Cinema use the preset…it should make it big enough to look good, but small enough to be manageable.
