Can any one please help….A friend has designed some 3d models in his Alias program and exported them as DXF files so that I can animate them in Cinema 4D. They do open up in C4D except that some over the rounder shapes arn’t as slick as they look in the Alias program used to create the models, they are not as smooth as they should be. Almost a bit hexagonal. Can anyone advise?

    Cheers

    Scott

    Hi Brian,
Thanks for the message. Can you explain how this is done in? Please forgive me as I’m very new to this 3d stuff and my technical knowledge is very limited!

    Many thanks

    Scott

    either
    – right-click on the imported DXF in the Object Manager (if you don’t know which part of the interface that is you’re going to have to check the Help) and choose Cinema 4D Tags/Phong from the contextual menu that pops up

    or
    – with your DXF selected in the Object Manager go to the Tag menu in the Object Manager and choose Cinema 4D Tags/Phong from there.
