    Hello,

I am still new to whole 3d world and trying to explore deeper into it. I hope I can get some help from you all. Anyway, I created 400X400 of real looking grass fields on cinema 4d. I did so because having a large field from the beginning can cost lot of RAM and CPU power. Now I need to move on to the next step. I would like to create a large grass field such as this:

(image link is from the article on the interview with Chris Riehl by Ko Maruyama on digitalmedianet.com)
I’d use Cloner.. but there must be someone who knows better way to create the images without go through too much trouble. Thank you 😉

Well the best thing would be to use the hair module if you have it.

Well, What I meant was to create a large land scape filled with grasses. If I tried to create land scape entirely with hair module, it will take forever to render. I was going to use displacement map, yet I really liked hair module for the details I can have control over. I was wondering if you specialists have some wisdom to share with newbies like me. Thank you;-)

I am not a specialist but I would create your landscape put hair on the whole thing and render out a frame. Then I would use that image as a background and work from there forward. Just like you would in a normal 2D composting program.

Thank you for your input. I actually combined both displacement map and hair. I am still having a hard time to make both look seamless in out put….I will tweak it more 2 see what I can do..
