Water droplet Vray material problems
I’ve posted here at VRAYforC4D.com, where the material was released: https://vrayforc4d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1735&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
I’ve had several problems when trying to get the water droplets to appear as I’d like them.
All I’m using is a simple Adobe Illustrator vector object and have added Extrude NURBS to it to add 3d thickness. As noted in the vrayforc4d thread, they suggest to copy the object you’re trying to add the droplets to, change the copied object’s material to the water droplet material, and add a Vray displacement tag to it. Then, in the Vray tag, you load the water droplet normal map and all should be well. What happens to my object is bizarre.
Here’s my logo:

It’s a huge cluster of water material that doesn’t even resemble drops, but instead more like rods. And here’s what happens to the rest of the object:

Again, the droplets don’t look like droplets, but instead look like rods or cylinders of water.I’ve tried adjusting the amount of displacement, the exposure settings of the normal map, and tried adding more subdivisions to my object, all with no successful effect.
Any ideas? 🙁
