  AE upwards compatible ?

  hey folks,

  can projects from an older Version of AE be opened and edited in a newer edition (let’s say 6.5 to CS3)?

  I know that it is not possible the other way around.

  what could that be?

  normally I would
  a) doubleclick on project icon or
  b) >file >open project

  2) what about interchange between MAC and WINDOWS projects? is there any trouble waiting?
