    Hey,

I’m currently trying to make a curtain in c4d with clothilde and collider tags that should look something like this
    https://img254.imageshack.us/img254/2631/vorhangnf5.gif

I have a plane (the curtain) and 2 collider cylinders, i move the cylinders upwards to shape the curtain
but I’m having problems with it looking a little too blocky,
when I crank up the subdivisions of the plane or the clothnurbs it’s not really looking better

    Any help?

I don’t really need it to be animatable

    with kind regards
    Matt

Try using the belt option…you get more control than colliders.
You will still need the colider on the cutan rod though.

    Hey Randy,

So I should try to use the hover or influence map?
Well, I’ll read up on how to create vertex maps

    thanks

Have you tried fixing the bottom row of points and turning up the wind power and direction (cloth tag:forces)? Then your sword/cylinder collider is at the same Y axis as the bottom row of points.

I also got the effect by using a belt from the bottom points and connecting to a cube that i then key framed to wrap up and over the curtan rod. This method took far more effort to get the hanging look.

    /good luck,
    Randy
