After Effects and C4D Integration: Adding video files
I read several tutorials in the web on how to import or integrate the c4D render files into after effects. What I would want to accomplish is to place the videos in an electronic billboard (that will serve as the ‘video holder’ in After Effects) I created using C4D R10. I read from Creating Motion Graphics by T.Meyer that in order to place the video into the video holder (in my case, the electronic billboard) in After Effects, you should enter the same position as your video holder in C4D and then make this layer (the video file) a 3D layer.
However, I saw this video tutorial

In the second part (Part 2: A WB Promo), I noticed that it didn’t mention the steps on how to add the video (as what the previous tutorial Ive read). It just simply dragged the video file from project window in After effects. Or maybe it was just not mentioned.
What are the exact steps to incorporate your videos? Could someone point me to any tutorial sites with elaborate steps. thanks in advance.
