  animating scale issue

  I have been trying to key frame a object scaling up in size, but every time I set the key frames they are empty. The move and the rotation work fine and I checked the panel in the right hand corner and the scale is turned on just like the move and rotation. I tried going into the timeline and added the scale key frames there but they were still empty. Has anyone had this problem or have any idea how to fix it.

  Use the Object-Tool for animating.
