College Project – Feedback Needed?
Hi everyone.
I am currently in my last few weeks at City of Bath College. Our last and final project is a client baced production and although we have only really just touched on 3D animation towards the end of this 2 year course I’ve decided to make a simple 3D space maths adventure game using Cinema 4D R10, Finalcut Pro 5 and Flash 8 for a primary school teacher to give her faster working pupils something to do when their finished.
As part of my project I need to get feedback from forums on my draft design. Any constructive criticism is welcome. Please feel free to look at my draft by copy and pasting the link below into your browser.

i like your ideas charlie. creative but simple, just want a primary school pupil needs. i do have a comment on the story structure tho. i might be wrong but i think that if u moved the story line part to the very beginning (before the monsters) it would make more sense.
apart from that looking good, keep going!

HA – love the little fuzzy burger shaped monsters! yea I agree with Im3Ding about the beginning storyline. Also instead of having just a plain black background maybe you could have some stars in there too or just something to liven it up. after all it is for kids.

One more thing, there’s a nice little tutorial on how to make a campfire on tutorialized.com. You said you’ve only just started using it so I don’t know how confident you are on Cinema 4D but it shouldn’t be to hard to adapt it to suit you… say your rocket’s engine exhaust?

Cool stuff man.
Little tip, turn up the ‘Specular’ in the materials properties and change the ‘Specular Color’ to a lighter shade of gray on your cage material. This will give it a more metallic look 🙂
