Boolean problem
I’m trying to use an animated boolean to make an icebreaker cut a swath in an ice sheet. The ice sheet is a cube, crumpled and made editable, and the cutting object is a sweep NURBs. When I started, this worked perfectly, but as I’ve been working on the scene I turned off the boolean object to make it easier to work on other elements. Now when I turn the boolean back on, it doesn’t work. It makes a white outline on the ice shelf where the boolean cut should be, but it doesn’t cut, and when rendered, you see the ice shelf as if it there was no boolean. The ice shelf is a large object with 181,000 ploygons. What can I do to make this work again?
I’m using Cinema 9.6, on a Mac, OS 10.4.9.
thanks,
Jack
