This may be food and drink to some of you guys but im new to C4D and still rusty.

Basically i have a 2D football club logo which i want to make 3D, with depth and texture, much like you’d see on sky sports or such like. Ive tried extrude tool, maybe im doing it wrong but didnt work. Ive also heard vectorising may be part of it?

Again im not sure so inpiut appreciated.

Extrude works on splines. So if it’s Photoshop bitmap then it won’t work. If it’s paths in PS then you could export as Illustrator paths and import. Otherwise, you need to get the logo in vector format (or make it). Illustrator version 8 is the format you need to use.

If the logo has good contrast you could try it with Cinema’s Vectorizer which attempts to trace bitmaps with splines. Worth a shot anyway–might save you some time.
