I’m a lost newbie…..
I have a Couple newbie questions for y’all. I’ve only been using C4D 9.5 for a couple weeks now, so these might be stupid questions. My previous 3D experience has only been ‘postcards in space’ in After Effects and the Innivigorator pluggin. I tried the C4D manual, but for being 1000+ pages it leaves much to be desired.
1) Is there a way to take a selection from one object and use it on another object? In my case I’m building a tooth: I have the roots and I need to use the top of them (where they meet the enamel) to cut off the bottom of the enamel.
2) Is there a way to subdivide an objects mesh w/in a selected area? Or, do I have to do the whole object? I tried making a selection and then using the subdivide function. But, all it did was divide the whole mesh. I know I can go in and use the knife, but it would take forever. Makes me think I must be missing something.
Thanks for any input.
