  Inherit color using Thinking Particles???

  I have an animation currently of particles radiating from a center point. I am using thinking particles with a matterwaves node applied. I am succesfully generating the particles based on my texture but have of course migrated to the logical next step… CAN THOSE PARTICLES NO INHERIT COLOR FROM A TEXTURE??? Nothing presents itself as an obvious answer. I have seen it done in Maya fairly easily but I am a C4D man.
