    Hi

I’m not sure whether this will be posted by I thought I’ll give it a go. Whenever I am working with cinema4d after awhile my PC restarts without warning. I’ve got 1gb ram so I can’t think of anything. Any ideas why? I’verecently upgraded to cinema9.5 but the problem is still there.

    Thanks
    Anna

It sounds like you might have a PC cooling problem. I’d download a temperature monitoring program like MBM5 or Speedfan and see if that’s it.

thanks for your reply. I do actually have a pc temperature monitor programme. if it was that was the problem then the pc would restart whenever. I only have this problem with cinema. I can actually control the speed of cpu and I always have it on maximum.

Not really. You’d experience it much more often with programs that stress your cpu, like Cinema for instance–particularly during rendering.

Well, it’s probably not cooling then.

The next best guess is OpenGL drivers. Try disabling OGL in preferences and see if that eliminates the problem.
